Well in Fahrenheit 451, the author Ray Bradbury begins the story by having the main character meet up with this one girl that questions almost everything about him. For example, she asked him if there was ever a time when firefighters put out fire instead of start them. When I read this, I thought about how today a firefighter's main objective is to cease a fire, and how this is a very important task. What i didn't understand was why there was a need for people who STARTED fires; how was this of any use to the people of the community?

I read this book during the summer, and there were many confusing parts. I think Shazena read this book too... (i commented on her blog earlier) Anyways, this book was pretty good but i forgot few things such as, why did they burn books?
I'm not sure where you are in the book, but the book is worth reading. Also i also agree with what you said, about how in the book the firefighters start fires but in reality now, firefighters try to 'cease' the fires.
MAX NUMBER TWO(: I think that a long time ago I started reading Fahrenheit 451, unless it was another book about firefighters. I think that firefighters are great, because they put out fires and help people who are stuck in them, but it's such a dangerous job. It's so weird in the book how the firefighters start fires, when now they cease them :P
Woww...uhhh I'm kinda confused...why is the girl asking him if they ever PUT OUT a fire instead of starting them?? because, isnt that what firefighters DO? or maybe thats the whole point? idk im lost here max. But yea umm i wonder why people start fires to being with too. theyre kinda just pointless and kill people and ruin their homes :D
*to begin with
my bad -.-
Hey Max
Great minds think alike. I'm also reading, well I finished, Fahrenheit 451. The people were forbidden to read books. Whenever someone was caught reading them, the "firefighters" would come and burn the house and the books, but nothing would happen to the house because all of the houses in the area were fireproof.

By the way, great job on your blog!♥
Hey Max!!! Do you like Fahrenheit 451? I know a bunch of people who read it and thought it was good. The book sounds a little strange. Firefighters actually start fire? Why do they start fires? How come people aren't allowed to read? I think I'm confused, and I never read the book before! Is it confusing to you? Tell me how it turns out. <3
well i've heard of this book but i've never read it.
Why do firefighter start fires..?
thats a pretty interesting question i guess.
I remember in an episode of the Simpsons the volunteer firemen kept starting fires so they could loot the stuff inside
anyways
the book sounds pretty promising
i might check it out sometime too
I never wanted to read this book. it never seemd interesting.. is it interesting?
Yo Max
Now that you've read more into the book, have you come across the reason as to why they have people that start fires? Is there any significance in it? Also, how has the protagonist progressed as a character since the beginning of the book?
hm,mm i am thinking of reading this book maybe u can tell me how it is cuz it sounds interesting
well i have read this book before and i thought it was good. i forgot the exact reason they burn books, i think it was because they thought that anyone could write a book and could lie so they want to burn them, i think that is y i forgot
jessicas funny she thinks the firefighters put out fires thats adorable
P.S. thanks for giving me ur blogspot site ms.faughey would have chewed me up
P.S.S sry bout that i made a mistake
I read this book last year and i agree with what your saying. Its kind of pointless to have the fire fighters burning books because it doesn't help anyone at all.
